We know that when we contact you, you may have questions. Here you will find the most important answers about our work and the process.
To help you quickly find the right information, we have summarised the most common questions below.
Credit & Collections Service GmbH (CCS) is a registered debt collection company. For over ten years, we have helped businesses from various industries resolve outstanding payments fairly, transparently and in a solution-oriented manner.
We were commissioned by one of our clients to clarify an outstanding payment. We received the necessary data from the merchant or through legitimate sources. Our goal is to inform you about the outstanding amount and to find a quick solution together.
Please contact us directly – by phone or via the contact form. This allows us to quickly review the matter and clarify misunderstandings. Please contact us directly rather than the merchant, as this may delay processing.
If a payment via girocard (formerly EC card) could not be completed, the amount is refunded back to your account. You will see this as a credit or reversal on your bank statement or online banking.
The merchant's name appears in the 1-Cent transfer, in the reminder letter, or on your bank statement.
The 1-Cent credit is our first, low-cost attempt to contact you. In the payment reference you will find all important information about the claim – including the amount, fees, payment deadline and bank details. This allows you to settle the outstanding amount directly.
Tip: The sooner you respond, the lower the fees will be. A quick clarification saves cost and effort.
Please transfer the total amount to the account specified in the 1-Cent credit or reminder letter.
Note: Please do not pay in cash to the merchant or send send cash by post.
All details (purchase amount, fees, bank details) are listed in the 1-Cent credit or in the reminder letter. Please transfer the full amount stated there so the matter can be closed.
Your payment likely overlapped with our letter or could not be clearly assigned.
Tip: Always include the reference number (AZ) with every transfer – this ensures your payment is correctly allocated immediately.
No problem – we will find a solution together. Simply contact us so that we can discuss an appropriate installment plan or individual agreement.
If only your IBAN was known to us, we were permitted to determine your current address through a legitimate request to the bank or an authorised service provider. The provider is listed in the letter.
Processing returned direct debits involves administrative effort. Accordingly, debt collection costs and, if applicable, statutory default interest may accrue in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Tip: The sooner you respond, the lower the additional fees will remain.
In the event of a chargeback, the merchant does not have your details such as your name and address. We therefore take care of the communication and contact you.
No. A returned debit alone does not lead to a negative Schufa entry. Full payment prevents an entry.
Note: A Schufa entry can only occur for long-term unpaid claims and only after prior notification.
If you have further questions or need additional information to settle your outstanding amount, simply contact us via the contact form. Our service team will get back to you promptly.
We rely on communication at eye level – with businesses as well as with consumers. We only resolve open payments sustainably when all parties are treated fairly.
Therefore we rely on transparency, respect and solutions that work for both sides.
